Ok but since our kids are adults, I think we may be okay with myself (cardholder) and one of my kids in order to get the 50% companion pass. Then on the second reservation, my husband and the other 2 kids using points. This way if something happens one of us is with the kids. If we end up on the same plane, we intend to switch seats as my husband and I would like xtra comfort. The only issue I seem to be running into is I cant book a multi island using reservation with points so all of our interisland has to be separate (that seems like an easy link) and since I only have enough points for 1 way free, It looks like I may have to book all one way travel for that reservation. That to me is where it gets sticky and creates more risk for us to be separated or other issues. This is where I was looking for Hawaaiian airlines travel experts to see if there is any way to get around these issues.
