Same aircraft will fly back NRT-EWR on Tuesday 9/10/19, same status too

(Original NRT-EWR UA78 777-300ER cancelled, replaced with UA2806 777-200)

​​​​​​How do the customers get informed? They get a cancelled email, then auto rebooked on the same day replacement?

Sucks for J and PE. Switched from true Polaris to 2-2-2, 60 to 50 J seats but don't think anyone got IDB for either direction, no PE

Good for Y, 3-4-3 to 3-3-3
