Requesting an unopened beverage (seltzer) inflight?
I was on the red eye in first this morning. About 30 minutes before landing I asked for an unopened can of seltzer and was told that this is against United policy. They could give it to me, but it would need to be opened is what I was told. I can see such a policy in effect for alcohol but a can of seltzer??? I have never been told this before.
Is this a thing?
