Does AF interline to AS?

Surprisingly very few threads on this topic...
A complicated itinerary... but my parents and I (3 people total) are flying CDG-YVR in AF J. Ticket is AF-issued with AF flight numbers.
Then my parents fly YVR-PDX on AS, and I fly YVR-SEA on AS. These are separate tickets, AS-issued with AS flight numbers.
Two questions:
1) Will AF be willing to through-check 2 bags (my parents') to PDX, and 1 bag (mine) to SEA?
2) It seems like if so, we don't need to collect bags in YVR - can anyone confirm?
