Make sure you pack everything absolutely essential in your hand luggage. So far I have good experience with SAS luggage forwarding services - they usually get it delivered within 48 hours.
It took me 20 days to get my bag back with EW which they found 72 hours after my arrival, and I couldn't even recognize my bag when I got it back and it was more than a month ago and still haven't heard back from them.
