Also, I noticed that for the sister property (Royal Meridien) they make it clear right at the top that you need to be a UAE resident...

"UAE Summerlicious Deal 2019, includes buffet breakfast daily at Brasserie 2.0, dinner daily at Brasserie 2.0, wired high-speed Internet, wireless Internet, UAE Resident ID valid ID required"

but you know that the rate details says Emirates ID. Arguing for it seems like bad taste all around. But please book it and play dumb upon check in and let us know how it turns out.
