Probably an error. New airlines tend to take longer to join OW, not less.
For example FJ seems to have not yet be fully integrated as OW connect partner
Also thought it was surprising. When I read AA were starting flights in June, my thought was "ah to coincide with AT joining" as I had also read the "mid-2020" posts. Just was surprised that they wrote January and wondered if there was something I had missed.
