This is a good point.

Re “Duty of care” – right after take-off I felt I had to look after my own security myself, when disembarking.

This is why I spoke (again) to the CSD and made it very clear I would not disembark the plane at LHR unless I was welcomed by Police officers at the aircraft door and escorted out of the terminal, for my personal safety.

By the way – Police did an excellent job, they were very reassuring and understanding, they took my statement including a photo of my passport and escorted me all the way down to the train at B gates.
