I'm betting not. They have been asked many times to reconsider. DOT complaints didn't budge them. By now most lifetime members have seen United's disdain for them. United does not have much more to lose unless a PR storm develops in November. Their lawyers must believe that they can crush our lawyers. Given the scams that airlines have gotten away with, I'd bet on their lawyers too.

Continental and United were very, very good to me over the years. I hate being betrayed by a friend.
