I also noticed it on my last 6 YYC-YVR runs, all since July 1.
I also noticed this new gem started at the same time, shortly after every takeoff (paraphrasing): "Smoking is not allowed, and Air Canada forbids vaping. Also,
you are not allowed to drink your own alcohol that you have brought onboard with you."
Makes me wonder how many incidents of people drinking BYOB they have had.
