Can I cancel Amex Plat, but keep Corporate Green, and keep my MR?
I have
- Amex Personal Platinum (got 60k MR when opened a year ago. Just been charged $550 AF)
- Amex Corporate Green (for which I pay $90/yr, charged to my Plat, to enable earning of MR at 1 point/$)
Can I do the following?
- Cancel the Plat and have the AF waived (its charged on my new statement, payment due date in 3 weeks) - YES
- Keep my 60k bonus MR (total MR balance now 95k) - YES
- Keep earning MR on my corporate green (and have the $90 fee related to that perk charged to the green from now on) - YES
Edit - added answers after speaking with Amex.
However, in the end I accepted a $500 credit retention offer to keep my Plat open.
