While Republic did indeed serve Hobby, it did not do so on the HOU-SAT route - at least not per the 1982 source I referenced for this question. Additionally, the airline we're looking for did not fly the DC-9-30.

Please, deposit another quarter and guess again!

P.S. I enjoyed your Muse about the old terminal at Hobby. I've yet to fly into that airport.
