Recently flew my outbound from HAN>HKG>SFO. The HKG>SFO leg was fantastic as my family of 4 were the only ones in the first class cabin. But was a really late flight (00:55 departure) so we pretty much went to sleep after some caviar and champagne.
Made a huge rookie mistake in my positioning flight back home to LAX. Our flight departed HKG on July 6th and I didn't realize that we would land at SFO on July 5th. So I booked my short flight home for the morning of the 7th thinking we were landing on the night of the 6th. So we had to spend 2 nights at the SFO Marriott and being tired and jetlagged, that was not fun as we were all ready to be back home after traveling in Vietnam for 3 weeks.
My miles posted to AS after 4 days. Still waiting on AA miles for the Cathay Dragon portion to post.
