Unless you are willing/able to change to a non-CX flight, you have to roll the dice and hope it does not cancel.
Assuming you want to keep these flights I think the best you can do is...
1. Obviously, you need to check-in to the JFK-HKG-DAD.
2. When you get to HKG, uncheck in for the HKG-DAD flight (online or call). Then check-in for other flight.
