48 hour cancellation window to get points back?
Because of risky weather, I looked into the possibility of changing my flight itinerary for an upcoming layover at the O'Hare Hilton. I'd booked a room for one night @50k points, and upon checking my booking I discovered that with less than 48 hours notice, the reservation is non-refundable, meaning my points won't be credited back if I were to cancel.
Is it a consistent policy, meaning that all points bookings have a 48 hour cancellation window? Is this a recent change in policy?
I'm recently returning to Hilton after the Marriott merger and may well have missed these rule differences/changes.
