Personally though, if there was availability, and I had access to another 2,000 KF miles, I'd upgrade one direction to business class for 52K miles and in the other direction pay up for an exit row seat in economy, in preference to upgrading to PE in both directions.
That didn't even occur to me. Ugh. That would have been a better idea. I got the last aisle seat in PE going over, so wanted to jump on that and it didn't even occur to me to use all the miles and just upgrade one way. Well, maybe I can go on a crazy shopping spree and come up with another 29,500 UR in a month (lol) and upgrade again to business from PE. That would be 54,500 total, 2,500 more than if I'd just done it right in the first place. Can I even do that? Upgrade twice?
