Well something was not quite right the Chinese high opinion of the Joy notwithstanding. I understand converting the venues and cabins to satisfy Western expectations but spending $50 million on a 2-year old ship seems extraordinarily high. The only non-US resident Chinese I’ve met were most probably actually from Taiwan and for the most part they have been extremely demanding.
