Who responsible for leaking tire during rental?
Recently I rent a car with Avis Salt lake city airport, but only after driving 50 miles on Highway I-15, I noticed right front tire became flat. I believe it is leaky because the highway road condition is pretty good. I called road assistance to change the tire and drove the car back to exchange. After 1 month, I was charged by Avis for road assistance. I called Avis customer service, the representative told me "Our rental vehicles become a customers' responsibility on every aspect bumper to bumper even if the damage to the tire was not within your control. "
I think this policy will make every customer uncomfortable when renting a car. Does it mean each time when renting a car, a customer should have a mechanic to inspect the car just like purchasing a second-hand car?
