Bangkok is a huge, spread out city, with horrible traffic. I've run cities around the world and would not even consider a running tour of Bangkok, it is completely impractical.
The traditional tourist sites . . . temples and palaces . . . are mostly along the Chao Praya river. You could stay at Royal Orchid Sheraton along the river, but that's a long ways from your work.
The most conveniently located properties for your work would the Ren or CY. St. Regis, Athenee, or JW would be next. That's a pretty wide range of choices.
