I took the shuttle bus method last week. Interestingly, I saw what looked like a small homeless camp on the HK port island, underneath an overpass, in an area where there would not ordinarily be pedestrians or anyone else. It looked like they had suitcases with them, and some other supplies that implied they weren't just resting there. I tried to imagine the situation they were in to get themselves stranded on the port island.
