I didn't try the "new" layout, but the cashback from my purchases on the SC card have already been issued in my monthly statement so those were definitely credited. I'll check the "new" layout for the MRs later when I'm not on mobile.
The iOS Amex app won’t show the potential earnings for transactions but the Amex mobile site will show it in the “preview new version”. Different cards show it differently but it was at the bottom of the detail transaction pages for me.
