Long Layover at GVA / Checked Bags
I'm doing EWR-UA-GVA-LX-LHR on a UA Basic Economy ticket, and have a 23h45 connection at GVA.
If I check a bag in at EWR with UA (using my *G to check a free bag), will it be accepted through to LHR, or does the length of the connection at GVA mean I'll have to pick it up and re-check it?
I don't really want to have to check them back in again as it'll be a PITA to have to queue up at GVA, and then because it's a UA Basic Economy ticket, I suspect I'll be asked to pay for the bag on LX to LHR.
