Is there any way to salvage at least some of the value for 2 old 7-day cat. 1-5 certs? I had to cancel my reservations, and it looks like the certs were preserved, but I don't seem to be able to attach them to any new booking. I was told by the rep that they were not refundable (I was hoping to get back 45000 points), but that I might be able to upgrade them and extend validity for another year. How can that even be legal? They were refundable when I applied for them in July last year. I don't have any travel planned before the expiration date, and a very small balance in my account, so upgrading is probably not an option. Is there really no way to use them, for myself or anyone else? BTW, I did read the wiki and several recent posts, but the responses seem a bit confusing (as in: talk to the right rep and they might do what you ask). Should I just try HUACA until I get some resolution or should I give up and never set foot in a Marriott/Sheraton/Westin/Moxy/CY, etc. again?
