The CY/AC is so simple in North America its hard to believe they can mess it up.

Each night for one person: $10 credit for that day; for two people: $20 credit for that day.

It's per day, not per stay.

Consider requesting the guarantee

And seems like the Canadian properties fixed the issue IIRC from other threads.
