Cheapest way to travel within Japan would be AVIOS (Tesco clubcard?)

Taxes and fees with BA issued JAL AVIOS tickets are chickenfeed.
Last year it was 4,500 AVIOS for a Tokyo to KIX flight plus £2 or so.
