Correct. The positive thing is that gate F1 is in the same "room" or hall as immigration for the F gates, so the OP will have to go to this hall anyway. And when arriving there, (s)he can basically just look how long the lines for immigration are, and just turn his/her head to see whether there's a bus parked outside, or whether there's a security guard at gate F1, and then make his/her choice based upon that.
