Was just looking at the “Aspire” Y seat that’s been picked (as installed recently on UA 777-200’s) it seems to aspire to be more comfortable-particularly in the 3-3-3 config that HA will likely go with down the back-unless they’re taking a cue from ANA/JAL on the comfort factor or putting in a proper W/Premium Economy-the 787 will be painful down the back for those that enjoy the A330 in Y.
If they want to pitch themselves as premium for getting to Hawaii all economy seats should be at least the equivalent to their regular comfort+ seat pitch. Premium economy on HA would be interesting, they would make a heap on these with bids. Seems people rather bid then pay upfront for the premium seats, even if costs more in the long run.
