Question on that....is there a difference on what you pay (points/$$) at a check-in upgrade vs. an onboard upgrade? Seems anybody looking for an upgrade, with whatever Emirates status, would inquire long before they get on the plane. With only 6 seats in F, and being how awesome it looks to be, I can’t imagine there ever being ‘space available’ on board?

No difference in miles. Not sure if you can pay onboard, I'd imagine at that point it's quite expensive as they might only sell full fare.
