The program terms clearly say that it's not subject to availability unless it's a resort or a casino. Bring up the terms on your phone and show it to them. Then tell them that you'll be checking out at 4.

Edit: my friend just stayed at that hotel and had a horrible stay. Complained to the manager and got all his points refunded (2 nights worth -- he did not request this)

Unfortunately the staff there seems not to know what they are doing. You should escalate to the manager.
