If you check in and no show, but VN tracks you to a CX lounge, there's some chance they'll come find you. If you don't check in and no show, VN will just assume you didn't make it to the airport.
Honestly the likelihood that VN goes around HKIA and tries to track down a single passenger at lounges is zero to zilch. They will offload the missing pax and that's it especially if no bags have been loaded.
