I know this is an unpopular answer but...
You guys should try using mobile hotspots.
I say that because ever since I started using it I never worried about WIFI and stuff like that.
Don't get me wrong, I choose free WIFI over draining my data, but again, it grants you that sense of freedom from WIFI dependency.
I was just in the FT. Lauderdale airport, I'm not really sure if they had WIFI or not but I still got some good work done, I didn't really worry about it.
