Is it possible to combine a paper voucher and a points booking on one reservation?
Essentially I need to fly with one other person who rarely flies and has no status or interest in accruing miles via an AAdvantage account. From a pure rewards perspective it makes more sense to book their flight using points (since I won't get EQM/EQS/EQD for their travel anyway) and mine with funds available on a paper voucher (since my understanding is that I will get EQM/EQS/EQD for the paper voucher). I just want to ensure we're both on the same reservation in case of IRROPS and for the possibility of using 500-mile upgrades and MCE seating upgrades.
