At the Sheraton PVR you do not have a choice of selecting breakfast as a welcome amenity. Breakfast is available in the Lounge only. When they refused my request, I called Marriott who confirmed from the Corporate side that the property does not provide breakfast in the restaurant.

This is not correct. The Sheraton Buganvilias Resort and Convention Center may have a lounge, but it still has to offer breakfast. The breakfast in the lounge is not part of the breakfast choice at check-in. These two breakfast benefits are confused as being one in the same, but they are in fact separate benefits from separate provisions of the terms and conditions. Unfortunately, you can't rely on
anything Marriott's customer service agents tell you. You need to escalate these things to corporate management, which admittedly won't resolve until after your stay.
