This is an interesting point.

OTOH, typically a pilot is not permitted to fly more than 1,000 hours in a year, 125 hours in a month and 30 hours in a week. 12-15 days a month plus commuting and deadheading leaves a lot of time for a personal life.

I travel 100% of the time now. But I spend as little time as possible in airplanes and western hotels: that is the how of travel, not the what.

What Ben was doing was....different...than either pilots or me.

OTOH he made a hell of a lot more money than pilots or me....so there is that!
