PHX and Lake Powell are only going to be <$100 in the off season. Most of the year, both those hotels are way above $100, but the points stay the same.
It is not really just which is cheaper, point or cash. Sometimes you can find good rate at cheap, <$100. Sometimes, you can redeem 15,000 for $380 room. Since I value Hyatt points at about 2 cpps and I get points and short of cash, so I pick GC instead.
