In case anyone else needs the info, it was busy, but not crazy.
Tour guide requirement was not enforced and there was no security check, just a ticket scan and a very lazy glance at the passport.
I would highly recommend Mapacho Craft Beer in AG for both the food and beer.
Second the rec for Mapacho beer! Our hostel was right next to it and the food was good along with great beer selection. Get the cuy!
Don't forget the passport stamp on the way out, you may miss it
