they generally toss the routing rules during IROPS, and also permit connections through weird/nonhub airports. Once I had a PHX-LAX Changed to PHX-SAN-LAS-LAX* due to IROPS using the tool described.

*or something similarly indirect and 3-legged. I’d have to check, this was 2015
