So is ex-EU in relation to INV a thing to come?

My one and only ex-INV was a major disaster, only mitigated by some very helpful and understanding BA ticket staff in LHR who waived me missing the first leg. INV is seriously difficult to get to if starting out in London and flights are disrupted. OP is very lucky to be able to drive there.
