Delta was very generous with me when they thoroughly wrecked what must have been a 20 year old Tumi at SJU. They didn't have a comparable bag on hand to trade me, so they recommended that I file a claim. But since my gear was in danger of falling out of the hole from the missing wheel assembly, they still gave me the closest replacement bag they had. I filed the claim and they gave me $400 for the 20 year old Tumi roll aboard.
