If you are coming from the south or I-105, looks like you will have two drop off options without entering the loop:
1. APM station for T9, which will be the most direct route (although the size of the drop off zone is unknown)
2. ITC West on 98th street, which will have ample drop off zone
The APM stations are (from west to east): CTA West (T3/TBIT/T4) <--> CTA Center (T2/T5/T6) <--> CTA East (T1/T7/T8) <--> T9 <--> ITC West (hotel & parking shuttle/ride share) <--> ITC East (Metro & city bus/ride share) <--> Consolidated Rental Car Center
You still have to go thru the tunnel but you probably won't have to go thru the loop. Unless you are just begging for punishment.
