Thats a good question. For me, ...
a. Because I am usually aiming the Qantas F lounge.
b. Because that pre-Check Lite lane almost always has no-one in it.
But I understand the preference for proper pre-Check, and if you were heading the Flagship Lounge or admirals Club, then T4 pre-check could be just as easy.
