Hmmmmmmm ... as I donít recall Continental operating into ITO, Iím guessing it must have been Pan Am

Ah, but Continental did indeed fly into Hilo - right from the get-go in 1968 with Boeing 707-324C equipment and later with its 747-124. Here's the schedule for its single 747 flight in 1973, which over-nighted in Hilo and returned via the same routing early the next morning.
