Still a decrease from the 40. Since D1 backs up against a hard bulkhead on these planes, I had assumed the reduction from 40 to 34 was going to enable a staggered 1-1-1 configuration. It looks like Delta is not doing this. I assume that there will be extra pitch so the footwell will be longer and "stay wider longer", but that doesn't change the fact that these seats will still be narrow and coffin-y. Unless they have broken the laws of physics, I will continue to avoid 767s which is disappointing as I cannot lay down flat in the current seats (shoulders are too wide).
