The first flight, when you say "LH flight", is it LH operated? if so there will be no waitlisting of your present GPU. LH flights besides requiring a higher fare class, each LH flight requires its own separate GPU.
So without throwing additional GPUs at this itin, there will be no additional upgraded flights.
