That means that store is a no-go. You can try different cashiers, but with what you are describing, that store is most likely a toast (for now at least). If i were you, i would just go to a different store and try.
thanks for the tip! Luckily that was just a random Walmart that I came across on the way to dinner.. the ones near me doesn’t ask to check for the debit cards, but the ones near me doesn’t seem to allow me to load the BB at any other register but the ones at customer services... :/
