I’m at the SGS at the moment and it remains my absolute favourite. You scratch the slightly dated luxury hard product and there’s nothing but quality underneath. It is though one of those hotels you appreciate the more you come back to it.
Of the alternatives on the SPG side if you ignore the location I’d be tempted to recommend the Le Meridien (I really dislike the neighbourhood). The Suites are gorgeous and I really liked the breakfast.
