I returned from Singapore on 22 Feb ( a Friday evening ) and the official taxi queue lines looked quite long, maybe 60-ish people per line. This was my first experience with this procedure in a few years. I have to say it moved quite quickly, maybe a 12-minute wait, and seemed much more professionally operated. The "machine" now, it seemed to me, simply prints a 2-digit number which corresponds to the space in which your taxi will park (or is currently parked). Seems like that could be done by an attendant.
I can't imagine the bulk tourist charter flight passengers use taxis, but I could be wrong.
Faced with a huge challenge I'd probably default to the AoT Limo, or try GRAB or Line Man Taxi.
