Please consider how much money and efforts you will use to get TG Gold. Gold status sounds nice yes, and if you haven't had it before, I understand the fascination, but when you get it, you will find out that it is really not something special and it doesn't make much difference for you. Indeed, you have access lounges, but I think most of us could easily do without visiting the lounges before flights. So consider if it is really worth it before you incur a lot of add. costs to fly certain carriers, buy more expensive fares etc. Just my cents when reading your post.
