It would be more accurate to say he felt no need not to respond to a question put to him about the analyst's comments (by a reporter, it appears).
PM Mahathir's comment reads like he is hedging on this until they have a better idea on how to proceed... a 'nothing is off the table' response.
I will say I am surprised he didn't say shutting it down completely is not possible; this is the man who wants another national car, after all... yet a national airline, which has a much stronger brand cachet, both domestically and internationally, is potentially out?
Wonder what the likelihood of Kazanah is bringing in a new CEO & management team...
