Very interesting story OP.
I just spent two months living in Marbesa and commuting to and from London, mind you mine was a combo of the Norwegian and Ryanair flights
I did make liberal use of the newish arrivals car park at AGP, what an absolute gem and cheap as chips compared to any of the London airports when booked in advance.
Would be back in Andalucia in a heartbeat if I could make it work for work.
